Translation of HS article

Login

Logging in to the 'HelpSystem' platform will be possible after receiving the login and password from the InstalSoft company. To obtain login details, please contact with the Polish headquarter of the company InstalSoft .

Guidelines for editing

• Article contents should be formulated in an impersonal mode (e.g. "enter", "complete").
• Basic rules for editing MediaWiki: http://pool.test.help.instalsoft.com/Documentation_for_editors.
• Do not translate or modify special characters and identifiers, e.g. <....>
• It is allowed to change the word order while maintaining the substance of the sentence.
• No changes may be made to articles in other languages.
• The current version of the edited (unpublished) version of the article is available in the "Pending changes" tab.

Translation of a new HS article

• Create a new article under the target title in the selected language version.
• Copy the content of the original HS article (in edit mode).
• Paste the copied content into the created article.

• Leave the date in the article table in the "Translated from version" box unchanged.
• Translate the article. Until publication, the changes made will be visible in the "Pending changes" tab.
• Publish the article according to the publication procedure below.

Translation of an existing HS article

• Verify differences requiring translation by comparing (tab "View history") the content of the latest base version with the version from the day the last translation was carried out (date in the article table in the "last update" window).
  • Read from the project table the date of the last translation of the article to be translated.
  • Open the article in the basic version and display the "View history" tab. To increase the ergonomics of translation, it is suggested to use a second browser window and, if possible, a second screen.
  • Mark the date read from the article table, the date of the last edition and select "Compare".
  • Introduce the marked changes to the translated article.

• After the translation is completed, update the date in the article table in the "last updated" window, introducing the date from the base version that is being translated.
• Publish the article according to the publication procedure below.

Publication

• After completing the translation of the article, you must publish the article by approving the translated version.
